Meet George & Alex – The Duo Behind Ladle!
What happens when a Michelin-trained chef and a cocktail expert join forces? A cookery school where food, drinks, and fun come together in the best way!
George’s journey started in Hastings, working his way from washing dishes to becoming part of a talented team that earned a Michelin star at The Curlew. With experiences in top UK kitchens along the way, his love for food has taken him across the globe—from the bustling streets of Vietnam to the spice markets of India. Now, he’s bringing that passion to teaching—sharing his knowledge, skills, and love for great food with others. Meanwhile, Alex (that’s me! hi!) honed my skills in cocktails, learning from top mixologists in a five-star restaurant in Budapest. From running pop-up supper clubs to launching Ladle, we’ve always loved bringing people together through great food and drinks.
Now, we’re inviting you to join us! Our classes are all about hands-on learning, incredible flavours, and making cooking (and cocktails!) approachable and fun.

Parking – Available at Rock-a-Nore or by Crazy golf. Free parking is available on the seafront after 6pm.

What to Bring – Just yourself! We provide all the ingredients, equipment, and aprons needed for the session.
Class Format – Our workshops are interactive and social. You’ll work in pairs to make the most of the experience—if you're attending solo, we'll team you up with another enthusiastic foodie.
Drinks & Extras – Drinks are available throughout the session with a tab system—simply order as you go and settle up at the end.
Dress Code – Please wear comfortable, flat shoes and practical clothing, as we can’t take responsibility for any spills or stains on personal belongings.
